Education Requirement Fulfillment
The first step towards becoming a LAC is fulfilling the education requirement. You need a qualifying graduate degree in Counseling. If you meet this criterion, you're ready to embark on the journey towards licensure.
Supervisor Locating Assistance
Finding a supervisor is crucial for accruing the necessary hours to fulfill the LPC supervised experience requirement. At Wellness Solutions, we assist you in locating a qualified supervisor who can provide the guidance and support you need.
Plan of Supervision Submission
Once you've secured a supervisor, you'll need to fill out the Proposed Plan of Counseling Supervision and submit it along with your LAC licensure application to the New Jersey Professional Counselor Examiners Committee (PCEC). We'll ensure your plan is comprehensive and meets all requirements.

Becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome addiction? Pursuing certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in New Jersey is a significant step towards making a difference in people's lives. At Wellness Solutions Counseling Services, we provide comprehensive guidance and support to individuals seeking CADC certification.
Educational Requirements
To qualify for CADC certification, candidates must fulfill specific educational requirements. While LCADCs require a master's degree in a related field, CADCs can begin their journey with at least a high school diploma. However, both paths necessitate 270 hours of alcohol and drug counseling education.
Supervised Work Experience
One of the essential components of CADC certification is completing 3,000 hours of supervised work experience. These hours must be accrued within five years before applying for certification. LCADCs have the advantage of being able to practice independently and supervise others, while CADCs must work under supervision.
IC&RC Exams
Passing the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) exam is a mandatory requirement for both LCADC and CADC certification. These exams assess the candidate's knowledge and competence in alcohol and drug counseling. Our team at Wellness Solutions Counseling Services offers comprehensive preparation resources to help you succeed in these exams.

Navigating the path to CADC certification can be challenging, but you don't have to do it alone. Our experienced team is dedicated to providing you with expert guidance and support every step of the way.
